Maginoo Shrine Club

The genesis of the Maginoo Shrine Oasis started sometime in May 1984. A group of Shriners met to discuss the creation of one Shrine Club under the Philippine Shriners Association to carry out philanthropic activities “to help the burned and crippled children”. Thus, on June 7, 1994, the new Oasis was formally founded with the drafting of its bylaws.

For a name, the group decided to adopt the suggestion of Noble Pete Hernal, the word

Maginoo”. The Tagalog term for “Perfect Gentleman”, “respected” and “well-mannered man”.

The first or charter High Shereef was Noble Gaudencio S. Cristobal, Jr.  From all indications,

Maginoo Shrine Oasis is headed for greater heights in Shrinedom.

Two of the Potentates of the Mabuhay Shriners Philippines came from the Maginoo Shrine Oasis. They are Illustrious Potentate Avelino I. Razon, Jr. and Illustrious Potentate Tomas G. Rentoy III.

As of December 2015, there are 266 Nobles in Maginoo Shrine Club. Stated meeting is every 1st Thursday of the month.
